The most thorough STP coverage I've ever seen
I've been in networking for 8 years and this module taught me things about STP I never knew. The MSTP region design labs were fantastic and the troubleshooting methodology they teach is directly applicable to real production issues.

Private VLANs and security labs are excellent
The PVLAN and 802.1X integration labs are the best I've practiced on. The instructors explain the design rationale, not just the config commands. This gave me the confidence to redesign our entire campus access layer at work.

Great depth on EtherChannel and FHRP
The load balancing algorithm explanations were eye-opening. I finally understand why our traffic was unbalanced on certain EtherChannels. The GLBP weighting section was particularly useful for our multi-path campus design.

Hands-on labs make the difference
Working on actual Cisco Catalyst hardware with complex multi-switch STP topologies was invaluable. The 24/7 lab access meant I could repeat scenarios until I truly understood the convergence behavior. Excellent program.
This module can be taken as a standalone course for deep specialization in Layer 2 switching, or as a component of the complete CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure program. Both options provide the same depth and lab access.
Labs are conducted on Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches (physical), Cisco Catalyst 3750/3850 series, and Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) virtual environments, ensuring exposure to both current production platforms and exam-relevant equipment.
The lab scenarios are designed specifically around the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure lab exam blueprint's Layer 2 domain. You'll practice under timed conditions with complex, multi-switch topologies that mirror the difficulty of the actual exam.
Yes, Private VLANs remain part of the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure blueprint. Beyond exam relevance, PVLANs are widely used in data center and campus security designs, making this a highly practical skill to master.
