DNA Center Assurance Architecture : DNA Center assurance data collection pipeline, Cisco Network Data Platform (NDP), streaming data ingestion from network devices, Kafka event bus internals, and Elasticsearch for assurance data storage and query.
Client 360 & Device 360 Dashboards : Client health score computation, client onboarding timeline analysis, RSSI, SNR, and roaming event visualization, device health KPIs (CPU, memory, interface errors), and using 360 views for rapid issue triage.
Network Health Dashboard : Site-level and global network health aggregation, health scores for wired, wireless, and WAN domains, trend analysis, SLA compliance tracking, and customizing health dashboards for NOC operations.
AI-Driven Insights & Issue Detection : Machine learning baseline computation, statistical anomaly detection for KPIs (throughput, error rates, client counts), proactive insight generation, guided remediation workflows, and suppressing known maintenance windows from insight generation.

Streaming telemetry pipeline lab was excellent
Building the complete pipeline from IOS-XE gRPC dial-out through Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana was a highlight of my entire CCIE preparation. The practical value of this module extends well beyond the exam.

ThousandEyes coverage is uniquely comprehensive
I had never worked with ThousandEyes before. This module not only covers all agent types and test types but also shows how to deploy agents on SD-WAN edges and correlate the data with vManage metrics. Very practical and immediately applicable.

DNA Center assurance AI insights are well explained
The explanation of how DNA Center computes health scores and generates AI-driven insights — with actual lab access to the platform — is something I had been looking for. The anomaly detection section was particularly eye-opening.

Performance baselining methodology is very mature
The baselining methodology section is something every network team needs but rarely implements properly. The statistical approach (mean and percentile thresholds) combined with Grafana alerting gave us a proper framework to implement at our organization.
Yes. The CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure v1.x lab exam includes network assurance and monitoring as a tested domain. While specific tool versions may vary, the ability to configure streaming telemetry, interpret assurance dashboards, and troubleshoot monitoring pipeline issues is directly tested.
Yes. Students receive access to a shared ThousandEyes organization with enterprise agents deployed in the lab environment. You can configure all test types, analyze path visualization data, and review Internet Insights to develop practical ThousandEyes skills.
The telemetry pipeline labs primarily use InfluxDB 2.x with Flux query language and Grafana for visualization. Prometheus is also introduced in the alerting module. Students set up the full stack in the lab environment from scratch.
The automation module (CCIE Enterprise Automation) focuses on configuration management and change automation, while this assurance module focuses on observability, monitoring, and proactive network health management. Together they cover the full network lifecycle: change automation + operational visibility. Both are strongly recommended for CCIE candidates.
Yes. NetFlow/IPFIX remains widely deployed and is explicitly part of the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure blueprint. While streaming telemetry provides richer, lower-latency data, NetFlow is still the primary traffic analytics tool in many enterprises. Both are covered in depth in this module.
